Ski crampons are used for ascending on icy snow or frozen firn. It is attached in the tip binding. For some modular type bindings, you need to purchase a slot for attaching the ski crampons. The ski crampons must be compatible with the type of your binding and they must be wider than your skis under the binding. They are produced in multiple widths and usually they are made of aluminium alloy.
