Snow shovel is very important for quick digging out the avalanche victim. After localization of the body by the transceiver and the probe, the digging process follows. At the beginning expect packed relatively hard snow. Digging out the person takes more time than localization. Therefore, it is important to have a quality shovel with a metal sheet, which has sufficient surface and depth, telescopic handle with not-slip finish and a handle, that fits well into the hand (shape T or D).
