Oproti Waileru 112 má Wailer 99 menší a tvrdší rocker na patce, což umožňuje stabilnější jízdu ve vyšších rychlostech a agresivněji výjezdy z oblouků. Díky užší základně disponuje lepším gripem v strmých zledovatělých pasážích.
