The Atomic Backland UL CTD combines an ultra-lightweight construction with Shocksense, Atomic's new smart helmet technology that uses impact detection to monitor the helmet's condition and an integrated SOS function for added safety while touring. Everything about this helmet is designed for protection and comfort at a low weight: The hybrid EPP in-mold construction is durable, lightweight and extremely safe - thanks in part to the PC microshells that structurally reinforce the shell. Under the shell, Holocore and AMID (Atomic Multi-directional Impact Deflector) provide up to 40% more impact protection than industry safety standards require.
