- The boot is made 100 percent of carbon fber and was developed in partnership with former world-class ski mountaineer and expert Pierre Gignoux. The spring-loaded pins are attached at the boot toe corresponding to the P49 binding. To enter the bindings at the front, a racer simply steps down with the boot toe and the system immediately clicks in and also keeps out snow and ice. A plate insert is attached at the heel area of the DNA Pintech boot. This allows the boot to click solidly into the heel unit with one frm step. The new heel at 20 grams is not only unbelievably light, it also increases the torsional rigidity by 18% compared to the standard heel pin.
