A traditional refuge for ski mountaineers on the ridge between Pec and Špindleruv Mlyn. In addition to the starting point for ski tours, you can diversify your stay by climbing on an artificial ice wall. There is a descent via Modrý Důl to Pec pod Snezkou or via Luční bouda to Sněžka or on the other side to Vysoké Kolo.

The ski mountaineering crossing of the highest Czech mountains, the Giant Mountains, begins in Špinlerův Mlýn. Via Horní Mísečky and the edge of Kotelní jáma you climb to Dvoračky and further along the ridge to Labská bouda. The highlight of the tour is the ascent to Vysoké kolo and the subsequent descent to Martinova bouda or Brádlerovy boudy.

Sněžka is the highest czech mountain. Accessible from the valley Obří důl, the ideal starting point is the mountain hut Bouda pod Sněžkou. It is possible to go on a sightseeing tour with a descent under the Pec - Sněžka cable car. The ascent to Sněžka can be also made from Luční bouda, the polish Dom Slaski and from Děčínská bouda - Růžohorky.

The ski tour to the highest part of the Šumava ridge leads over three important peaks. Hochstein 1333 m on the German side, Třístoličník 1302 m (Dreisesselberg) and finally Plechý (Plöckenstein), the highest point in the Czech part of Šumava. From above there is a view of the Plešné jezero lake, which separates the Jezerní stěna wall from the ridge. The route mainly leads along forest roads. The marked path along the ridge leads through the intersection of three borders - the Czech Republic, Germany (Bavaria) and Austria (Upper Austria). Refreshments are available in the Hut Berggasthof Dreisessel under Třístolicník. The ski tour can be included in the category of fitness ski tours and does not expect any downhill experiences. It is an ideal train ride from Nová Pec (the destination point) to Nové Údolí station, where this ski tour begins.

Když se podíváte na délku túry, tak se možná zaleknete. Ale..., je možné vyjet lanovkou na vrchol sjezdovek v Koutech (ušetříte 500 výškových metrů), máte možmost ukončit túru na Ovčárně. Když dorazíte na Praděd, čeká vás vás prakticky jenom sjezd přes Švýcárnu do údolí. A když se zkazí počasí, stačí dojít na Velký máj a vrátit se výstupovou cestou do Koutů. Na trase nečíhá žádná komplikace, dejte si ovšem pozor na vítr, který může po vystoupání lesem čekat na Jelením hřbetu. Za krásného počasí jde o prvotřídní vyhlídkovou lyžařskou túru. Z logistického hlediska se určitě vyplatí zdolat celou podkovu z Koutů do Koutů.
